Pls note that lodging at Sipadan Island is no longer allowed. Meaning divers have to do a day-trip from either the coastal town of Semporna, Kapalai Dive Resort, or Sipadan-Mabul Water Village.
Also I'd like to share another good diving/snorkeling destination right by downtown Kota Kinabalu in Sabah. It is called Tunku Abdul Rahman Marine Park. I've visited 2 islands in the park, namely Sapi Island and Manukan Island. The underwater life was not too bad!
