Gisle,

No problems with the night dives - I don't have to get out of bed for those:) The bumpheads are absolutely amazing and I never get tired of seeing them at night.

We never made it to Kapalai but dove twice off of Mabual (also good for its macro subjects and frog fish). Once on the reef near the shore and once under the SeaVenture (the old drilling rig that is now a dive resort). While diving on the reef with Elger as the DM, I had the "good luck" to run across a Titan trigger that was nesting. I was behind everybody else and not paying attention while I was taking pictures and never saw it until right before it hit my camera. It was very persistent in its pursuit of me and made about 7 attacks before I finally got our of its area.

I thought Elger was going to die laughing when we got back on the boat. He told me that's what I get for not paying more attention to my DM :)

Hi Rickg

I once had a similar experience with a triggerfish in Ras Mohammed NP, Egypt. It attacked me several times, biting my bright red fin over and over again. I got it all on video while swimming backwards away.

I got too close to it's nest and I guess it was the male attacking. The other (female?) stayed behind.

I first thought it was my dive buddy shaking me ...:upset:
