Single to Roatan - accommodation advice?

Great thread!!! I too am planning a trip to Roatan but in August. I've read a lot that West End is really the only place with a nightlife. Is that true?

I'm planning to be there 9 nights and split it between banarama/Island Pearl and Barefoot Cay (closer to the airport). Has anyone been to the latter?

Hi you could look at Guava Grove. Located 1.5 miles from West End with nightlife at the small resort. There is a swim-up pool bar and restaurant that is always hosting activities and is one of the busier spots on the island for local expats to visit as well visiting divers. With affordable accommodation its an ideal spot to hang out at and stay. Mark and Joanie Flanagan are the hosts at the property and know most everyone on the island in the dive industry as they are professionals of the same.
