Hi,

I'm about to take up GUE training.
What's the proper way to route 7 foot long hose with an Atomic M1 first stage? I'm also running a dry suit inflator hose with this setup. Do I run it on the bottom port (vertical) or use the adjacent port next to the short hose?

In addition, what's the proper length for the SPG. 24" or 26"?

Thanks.....

The hose should be short enough to stay out of the slipstream and long enough to allow for viewing of the gauge once it is unclipped from the D-ring.

I believe most usually go with 22/24' But it's whats comfortable to you. I believe my G/F had a 22' but once unclipped she found she had to tilt her head down to see the guage and did not like it so she got the next size up which I think was the 24' and has no problems any longer.

I use a 24" hose on the SPG. I haven't seen an Atomic set up with long hose, but it sounds like the bottom port would work well for the long hose. Nice clean routing down your side. I'd probably experiment with tilting the 1st stage a bit and point the bottom towards the right a bit.

Shoot and post a couple of pictures with your experiments.

Also how do you guys set up the fist stage on the tanks, Swivel pointing toward you head(up) or down (toward your feet)? Ive seen it both ways and not sure which is best?

This is how I do it as well. Same with a Scubapro Mk 25.
