Similar threads?

A while back, one could scroll down to the bottom of a thread and there was a function available that said something like: Similar threads or related threads.

Am I missing how to activate that or is it gone?

It has been disabled to improve performance.

can't this be re-enabled? how much of a performance degradation was there? It was a great feature.

Interestingly, one can still see the related threads feature on the old links.

It's re-enabled for threads posted since I enabled this yesterday.
