Silly Puravida PSA

Just wanted to let you know that even though Puravida bracelets are advertised to be worn in the "surf" and shower, mine rusted after 2 dives. I know - I should have expected it for a $12 bracelet but they DID say "surf" and I don't know of any fresh water surfing! The good news is that I sent a photo of the bracelet to customer service and they offered to replace it. Like I said - this is silly and not really a diving issue. Just a little PSA. Btw, while in Cozumel I got a good deal on a "real" silver bracelet (.925) at a little shop named Luna's (near the Mega store off the main road in town). Nice folks - ask for Bernice.

No, I think she's warning people not to take the bracelets into salt water and stating that customer service did a great job replacing it. Here warning could save someone else from ever having to call customer service in the first place. She said it was a PSA rather than a customer complaint.

Just bored today or you just feel like complaining about people's helpful and friendly advice?

Btw, I don't think Puravida's product was "faulty" as much as it's proof that "you get what you pay for". I've worn that bracelet for months and immersed it in fresh water without problems. Salt water is hard on stuff and it eats away silver plating. For the price, it's a nice little bracelet - but it's not going to last like fine jewelry.
