Is it generally ok to use silicone o-rings for dive computers? Specifically I have the Suunto Vyper Novo.

I know most people mention using Buna o-rings but I assume that's just because they're cheap & readily available?

I ask as I already have the correct size silicone o-ring in my o-ring kit & would rather not order new ones if possible.

not sure if it is the "correct" answer, but I'd do the same.
I always order battery kits with the oring, but never use them unless I feel a scratch while rolling the oring between my fingers while greasing it.
