We booked a holiday to Cozumel with Signature Vacations and 1 week before we are due to leave they contact us and change our flight time and route.
I complained, telling them that it's false advertising to sell us a direct flight to Cozumel and take our money then 1 week before we are to leave tell us that we are now being routed through Cancun and arriving later than originally scheduled.
I feel that if they are going to change the package then they should give me the option of getting my money back and travelling with a company that will stick with the original agreement.
I WILL NEVER book a trip with Signature Vacations again!!!

What airline did they use to package this vacation with? Is it possible that it is the airlines rescheduling and not the fault of Signature Vacations?

However, it is up to Signature to compensate or refund their customers if they change the package they sell to them. They can then haggle it out with the airline.
I'm angry and won't accept "passing the buck" bull$hit.
I consider it false advertising when they sell me one thing and give me something else.

We have flown with Signature several times to Turks and Caicos. They are a discount vacation packaging service. I hate to say that you get what you pay for but in this case you do. They use small airlines and s--t happens more often with small carriers. For what its worth I have flown through Cancun and its not too bad. Laugh or cry -- its your choice.

Tim is right. The airlines change their routes and times everyday.
Flying from Cancun isn't that bad. I have done it without any problems.
Just think how great Cozumel will be when you get there.
As soon as you're underwater diving Palancar you'll forget all about this.
Have fun!

The plane may say SkyService...but look at the registration...many "Skyservice" airplanes are actually Air2000, a British charter carrier wetleased to Skyservice.

And that is something you should be calling your Member of Parliament about!

Travel in today's times is never certain. Anything can happen and probably will. I am certain that somewhere in the fine print of the contract, brochure, tickets, etc. it says that itineraries can and will be changed if necessary. This doesn't help you in the situation you are in currently in but may help you in the future making travel plans. I often use a travel company called Apple Vacations because they offer insurance on their packages that includes a "cancel for any reason " clause. That way I can cancel if anything happens that I think may ruin my vacation. Even if the weather changes or I get a cold.
Don't let a flight schedule change ruin your vacation. Have Fun!!!

At least it gives me a measure of control over what airlines I fly and what routes I take. Except for a recent disaster I've had pretty good luck. I've also saved heaps of money by shopping around.

6 years ago a travel agent (the same b*tch who messed up my Delta frequent flyer account by opening a second for me without my knowledge or permission) tried to send me to Phoenix Arizona via an itinerary that included an overnight flight and a plane change at 2:00 AM! This torment was supposed to save my company money. I went on to Travelocity and found myself a cheaper, straight through ticket.

I swore never again, and I've made it stick. I'm much happier booking my own flights.

It totally sucks to plan a vacation expecting to get to your location in time for an afternoon dive and then get there too late at night to go diving.

I see the fine print saying the airline can change flight times at their pleasure but I still don't think this is right.
I've written a letter to the company to let them know this.

I'm definitely going to have fun - this little glitch won't spoil my holiday. :)
