That dog clicker is a GREAT idea!! I wished I would have thought about that before I got one of those Acuo-Sticks from Leisure Pro. I thought they were small. The friggin' thing is almost as big as a coke can. :D I've got a clicker from when my dog went to (and dropped out of) PetsMart's school. Going to grab it now.. Thanks for the idea!!! :)

Has anyone tried using a titanium ring as a tank banger? Is it affective?

I wouldn't want to repeatedly hit my tank with anything metal if I had other options. Plastic won't hurt the finish (both from a cosmetic and damage standpoint) like metal will.

That said, pretty much anything hard hitting a tank makes noise, so I don't see why a titanium ring wouldn't work.

Is this the Clicker you are refering to? http://www.petsmart.com/global/product_detail.jsp?PRODUCT%3C%3Eprd_id=845524441778511&FOLDER%3C%3Efolder_id=2534374302033166&ASSORTMENT%3C%3East_id=2534374302023689&bmUID=1174119164207&itemNo=93&Nao=72&Ntt=clicker&In=All&previousText=clicker&N=2

You can also get those dog clickers in bulk off Ebay. You can get 10 with the starting bid of $4.95 with $2.50 shipping. There are other types too, do a search for dog clicker.

I have several, although never thought of putting one on my BC, but I will now. I don't know what the metal piece that makes the click is made of, and I'm not sure if it will corrode in salt water. It might be handy to have a few extras on hand. Plus they are small and could be lost easily as they are about the size of my thumb.

I've used one for paintball for two years now and its been in the rain and washed off in tap water with no corrosion at all. Maybe it's aluminum.

My wife and I both use these... they are quite effective.

We don't care if other people think they're obnoxious... we don't usually dive with other people

On my dives in belize the DM used an old nail as a tank banger....
