One solution is a liveaboard.

It's actually quite nice to be on the island if one feels reasonably safe and secure.

Add another armed robbery to the list in North Side... today a "North Side liquor store" was robbed. That must be Nicho Norte.

That is after our record setting eighth murder of the year overnight. That was in George Town.

We've seen robberies targeting pedestrians in George Town, Seven Mile Beach, and even North Side. The time has come to caution our tourists not to walk ANYWHERE, particularly at night. Sigh.

Actually it is a family friendly island. What makes things so sad is that crime of any kind used to be all but unheard of. I'm not talking about 100 years ago either.

I just spent a week there and saw nothing out of the ordinary for any popular island. Coming from the South Side of Chicago crime is all relative I guess? Nevertheless, I felt totally safe.

I'd go back in a heart beat.
