Hey everybody, sorry if this has already been asked (I ran a search), but I have an odd situation.

I recently upgraded my drysuit to use dry gloves (long time coming), and Diver's Cove set me up with the Si Tech Quick Cuff with the Quick Glove attachment (the cuff is permanently attached to the suit).

Last weekend I was leading a group at Old Garden Beach and the surf picked up during our second dive. I managed to trip and got rolled by some waves, completely covering my gear with sand (I know, I know...). I've managed to clean it out of nearly everywhere, but the Quick Glove rings are completely jammed. I've used running water and a brush, I've frozen it to shrink the plastic slightly, and I've had no luck. Anybody ever encounter this and successfully fix the issue?

Was it leaking at all during the dive? If so, the rings could be cross-threaded.

I'm not sure if there is a lubricant that is safe to use around the plastic, latex and seals on the drysuit. However, when metal items are locked together, I always use a lubricant like liquid wrench that can penetrate into the threads. Maybe try a non-petroleum based lubricant like vegetable oil that won't do any damage to your suit?
