welcome anyone.....all you have to do is chaperone. It ain't all its cracked up to be. My new revelation, being so quick on the uptake, is that teenagers are like very bad roomates. My little love child is grounded at the moment which means I will be seeing a lot of her.

Dennis, I bet you are good at parenting advice. Even though you don't have any....maybe BECAUSE you don't you can think clearly. How do I make them not want to party? She makes good grades, is kind, has good friends, but they seem to live for blowouts. (like Tully)

Jcsgt....wanna sta here while I am in Bali? Bring a big riding crop. Seriously. If you are an adult and don't have a record....we may have a deal.

oh, ****, you are in law enforcement.....perfect! hey they are not bad...not criminals exactly yet. No arrests, they just want to throw big parties. Anybody who can out think them and moniter the gate could protect my abode while I am gone.

I really wish I could, but I'm already going to Cabo in September. My boss would either kill me or fire me if I took anymore time off in the near future.

Good luck with the kids. I certainly feel for you. Do they have driving privileges? Just a thought. Someone had a thread on this once before, rather recently I believe, it was pretty good. Just don't kill them It is just another hurdle in parenting.

Catherine, I don't know if you have family around but I will often have a cousin of mine come and hang out for the weekend. As you said, they don't need a babysiter per say, just someone to hang out and keep an eye on things. My cousin likes it because she can use the pool and things. Just a thought from one parent to another. I just have the one at home now. Less than two years until college, woo-hoo. :multi:

there comes a point in life where you have to throw it out to the universe.

I am going to Bali come hell or high water. They should have kennels for teenagers....like a rehab center where they get locked down, but for normal kids whose parents are going on vacation.

well, as far as photos go, I have had untrue things said about me pretty often so I always try to give others the benefit of the doubt, you know? The other thing is, even so...if someone has a strong marriage, something like that would not really make a difference, don't you think?

My relatives would not do it in a million years. Honestly, my daughter can outsmart almost anybody. I don't know what to do sometimes. I am just thankful she hasn't decided to rob banks. Thanks Miss, for the thread, I will look for clues and tips!

Could you lock her in the closet and just have a neighbor come around once in a while and throw food/water in to her? That always works for me, but then, of course, I have a cat.
