DavidPT40:
Why don't some of the lobsters have claws?

different species.
The ones w/claws are North American Lobsters.
Supposedly found from North Carolina and north on east coast.
I have been in NC couple of times never seen any.
But here on Long Island (NY), we do get a few.

Heres a bunch from 9/23 and an attack lobster off the USS San Diego on 9/26

Plymouth,MA. 20# with the missing thumb.

Didn't have a scale on the boat we figured he weighed about the same as 24# weightbelt we had on board, so called it 20#.
Didn't keep him, took pictures and let him go.

Help! I was minding my own business last night, when this rubber thing snatched me out of my rock! It was horrible! It had all these lights, and bubbles were everywhere! It sounded like Darth Vader! Then it stuffed me in a cloth cave, (there were others in there), and next thing I new, I was in this shiny white plastic place, it's very cold. He's in the shower now, so this may be my only chance!

Get me out of here!

This guy was 15# weighed him on the scale.
Got him a few years before the one in my other post.
He was definitely smaller than that one.
