You get locked out in violation gauge mode if you skip a mandatory decompression stop. Pretty common penalty for a serious infraction.
I want the computer to tell me how to best get out no matter how much I ****** up. I'm now considering the Peregrine just on that basis

Readability is not super important, I have good eyesight
Lucky you, the readability and the simple 2 button use of the Shearwater was the reason I sold my Aqualung computers.
Could not read the things with a quick glance, where it counted, underwater.
Now own 2 Shearwaters , simple to use and easy to read.
Expensive, granted, but you will 'not look back'.

Final update. Found the Peregrine (in the new white colour too) for £430/$550 shipped on ebay, couldn't resist. I convinced myself that if I eventually care for AI or more features, the Peregrine (specially the new edition) will hold it's value better than anything else.
