I am looking at a U.S. DIVERS SCAN 5 HOSELESS COMPUTER and was wondering if anyone has ever used one. What where you likes, dislikes?

This will be my first computer and will be using it for rec diving.

Historic, maybe ;)

It's similar to Oceanic Data Trans (not Data Trans Plus) and other Genesis, Aeris, Dacor cousins…

I've never used one myself, but a friend used to have one, it served her well for many years until one of the buttons stuck.

Besides the obvious drawback of not being nitrox capable, some specimens of this line were notorious for loosing pressure signal during dive.

I have one in a drawer some where. They were good in there day,but I also had trouble losing the pressure signal. Get a computer that is Nitrox campatible, you will be glad you did.

I had one and experienced the frustration of intermittent signal from the transmitter. stay away from this one !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
