I have that mask as well and it is one of my favorites and it is still in excellent condition. It is not, however, vintage. Vintage by definition of most vintage equipment divers is 1975 and earlier. I think I bought mine in 1984 in Fort Lauderdale Florida because I had hit my head in a fall and had stiches and the mask I was using then caused the stiches to tear and the Dacor did not. It is still often the one I grab. I also have the Mares X Vision, it is OK and a few other newer masks, the Fino is a favorite as well and of course the perfect six inch oval from Healthways. I see attachments no longer work--again. N

dont fix whats not broke. If the mask works for you enjoy. I have a bunch of 1980's handed down gear. yes my electric blue gloves get stares but they work.

If it still works, well it is fine to use. My gear was backed over by a car 8 years ago killing my mask, and snorkel. I had not been doing much homework on what mask I wanted and I needed to replace mine within a couple of days for a trip. I went to one of the local dive shops and checked out a Christmas clearance table. I tried on a $19.99 cheapy that fit well. I bought it to use until I figured what "state of the art mask" I wanted to buy. 8 years and five masks later I still use the cheapy for most of the diving I do.

If it aint broke....

If you have it already why do you need two unless you like it and $10 is cheap. If you want to sell it as vintage you can't but another mask for $10.

So what is you question?

well the bidding on the ebay masks ended ... however, i personally would be reluctant to buy a mask on ebay ... as you need one that FITS! I must have tried on over three dozen masks at several different stores before I settled on my mask ... and it is the one thing i have never thought about "upgrading" ...
