The Houston red eye is ok, but you still loose the first day of diving on the island.

Why do you say that? You arrive in the morning, with time to dive all day. At least that was my experience. I did the morning orientation at Buddy Dive and so was able to catch a few extra winks, (hehe) late morning check out dive at the house reef, then off to wherever you want in the afternoon.

Hi Chauncy,
So how was Al??? I know Bonaire was great. We're booked with Black Durgon on Dec 26 thru Jan 10th. I have to find La dania's Leap and plan on Karpata. Wish we could have gone in August, but Rick couldn't get off from work.
Our flight out of Newark airport was just changed yesterday. Not a direct flight and stop off at Houston for 2 hours. Not happy. Hopefully one day we'll meet up.
Thanks for your trip report. Barb
