Yes. There are some significant hull sections but it's not recognizable as a ship. In any case it's a real nice dive site that is growing on me in a big way. Talking with one of the summer artists that hang out there it sounds like some of the boiler sections mentioned in reviews have been salvaged out of there in recent years.

It's an easy dive from a nice shore entry at or around high tide. The ledges run parrallel to shore so it has tripple reef feel to it. Finding segments is still hit or miss for me.

PM if you want somone to join you.

If this is the one on the small pebble beach next to the Bush compound, I did it a while back (early Clinton years). Even then I was being watched closely by security. If either George or W is around, you will most likely not be allowed to park never mind dive it.

The last time I drove by they had also placed large stones so parking was difficult if not imposable.

Is this true..........a wreck around stage fort park? I dive there all the time......DETAILS PLEASE!!!!!!
Not actually at Stage Fort, but just south of there at Norman's Woe rock. I haven't done the dive, but I hear there is (or was) diveable wreckage out there.

It's a bit of a hike to get to...(classic understatement)... but a great dive. Matt, what heading is the wreck at? I've only been there twice and haven't seen it by just poking around.

I think a bunch of people from PG are heading to NW in a few weeks (it's on their calendar of shore dives). Might be a good chance for a bunch of people to get out to this site and look for this wreck. Anyone have details?

I don't know anything about it except that I have a vague recollection of a CAD dive several years ago where it was mentioned by another diver on the boat. I was still diving wet, and it was late in the season. Conditions on the Poling weren't great, so we came in for a second dive close to shore. I opted not to do the dive as I was already pretty well chilled, but I remember another diver mentioning that he had done a dive on the wreckage of some boat or other right near there. Looking at a chart, I'd say we must have been close to Norman's Woe, and there is a wreck on the charts there.
