I heard rumor of a great locals shore diving spot in Barbados where two (yellow painted???) rocks mark the path to the shore and there is a small bit of parking not far away. Does this sound familiar to anyone and/or has anyone out there had any experience with shore diving in Barbados? I would appreciate any info. Please feel free to send a private message, if you don't want the location to be public.

I have shore dived Barbados on the north end just past Holetown. Now the reef on Barbados are spectacular but they are a mile offshore and the inshore reefs I dove were not that great. Lots of dead coral and sand. I still enjoyed it but enjoyed the offshore reefs more. You can check the info on my home page.

Thanks for the info on the outer reefs. Any thoughts on the shore diving/wrecks in Carslisle or Folkestone? My two favs so far are the Speigel Grove in FL keys and the Hilma Hooker in Bonaire.

Nope we stayed near Holetown. I'm not much of a wreck fan although I have dove the Grove and the Hooker. You'll love the SS Stavronikita in Barbados.

Hello,

You can shore dive by my shop in Holetown. We pick up and drop back. E mail me at peterg@sunbeach.net.
Cheers,
