There is nothing in Pinellas county for shore dives. MoteMan is the shore diving guru around here so he can point you in the right direction.

Don't let one little bout of sea sickness kill the boat trips. Have your wife try Bonine for an motion sickness medicine. No side effects and it works for me.

So, I am wondering if there is anything special that I would need to be concerned with if I wanted to just do a small shore dive from the beach where I will be staying. I am staying at a place right on the beach in Indian Shores near the Salt Rock Grill.

Here is what I am thinking; rent a couple tanks for me and the others and do a single tanks shore dive in the morning with the kids (note - 18 and 16). I don't think that we would be looking to go out very far or need to get really deep, we would probably be fine with 10 - 15 feet depths just past the sand bars. Just being under in nice warm clear water is a huge bonus for us. We are diving next weekend in a local lake where temps are just getting into the 50s and wetsuit thickness is atleast 6 with gloves, booties, hood, etc.

So, days where we are going to be hanging out on the beach, a short shore dive in the morning might be very nice.

Any feedback advise is greatly appreciated,
Scooter McFly
