My wife and I will be in the San Diego area during the above times and would like to do some shore dives. She is still a newbie so nothing too tough.

Any recommendations?
Anyone feel like joining/guiding us?
Recommendations for nearby LDS to rent tanks and weights?

thanks!

Dates are 4/30 - 5/5 couldn't edit my typo in title

Thanks Owen, I've done some web surfing and seen OEX and their site. Looks like it may work.

Thanks for replying, I was wondering why no replies until yours. I've had good luck on SB in the past tossing a thread out when going to a new place to dive and always getting a couple offers to dive with me.

I also found a web site Divebums - A San Diego Dive Website that looks like it has a lot of info too.

The silence in the Beach Crabs sub directory makes some sense, because we tend to only dive as far south as Laguna, but I'm not sure why you haven't gotten any responses here from the folks in san diego - maybe they're too busy diving...

Thanks for the website - it looks like a good reference to bookmark.

If anyone is scared off by my saying my wife being a new diver she is not totally new.

She has done shore dives off Maine, boat dives off Playa Del Carmen and even a couple cenote dives.

Sorry about the lack of response so far....if you come up to LA, there are lots of local active divers! Unfortunately, I don't know much about SD diving, nor do I know much about the local divers. Maybe you could split the difference with the LA divers and go to Laguna??

That is a possibility.

I'm sure that we can hook up with some locals by going to some of the websites for the local dive clubs.

I wanted to see if I could spark up any interest on SB first. With all the clubs and LDS in that area I'm sure someone will dive with us!

Thanks for the response!
