Hello,
I'm newly certified OW diver and I'm looking for some good shore diving spots. I've been diving in Columbia Lake and Stonington Point so far. I'd like to get out this Saturday and do a dive or two if possible. Just wondering where some good shore dives that might be somewhat local are? I'm sure the lakes have a warmer temp right now as opposed to the ocean, so either would be fine. If you know of any good sites or don't mind diving with a new diver, please let me know.
Regards,
Shane

I grew up in North Kingstown, RI. I have dove all over the world but Fort Wetherill was just about the best dive site I have been to. You can park just a few yards from you entry point. There is always divers there but is is not to crowded. There is so much to see it would take you years to get sick of diving there. Make a weekend trip and you will not be disapointed.

Rockport, Mass is also a great site. I have only been there a few times but the images are vivid still after years.

I am jealious that you get to dive there in the RI area. I am stuck down here in Texas hours from the coast. I have resorted to diving the local lakes.
