Does anyone have recommenations for a place in Belieze where there arw good shore dives as well as acess to boat dives -

Wow, that's a tough one. The reef is nearby in San Pedro and CAye Caulker (1/4 mile or so) but it's dangerous to swim out because of heavy boat traffic. Down south the reef is WAAAAAAYYY out and the vis close to shore isn't good nor is the water very deep. Perhaps you can from the atholl resorts but that's about it. Boat dives are available everywhere.

Welcome!! Any question you have, you can probably find a post about it in the archives, or just ask away and someone will steer you to an answer.

I haven't been to Belize, but I'm sure many here have.

Welcome to the Board.

I just came from Belize and Hank's right. There's a lot of boat traffic inside the reef and would be dangerous to swim out to. And, from what I understand, the areas where the reef is very close to land (a couple hundred feet or so) the viz isn't that great. If you want shore diving, Belize isn't the place for it.
