What made it your best dive ever? I've dove that site before and will say it's a good dive but I've had some great dives in the Caymans, especially on the Brac.

It was just beautiful. Swim throughs with thousands of sardine like fish. Huge hogfish, huge Carib lobsters, hundreds of Spanish lobsters, more fish in general than anywhere else I dove in the Brac or G. Cayman. Then the abyss @ 110' was breathtaking. I wasn't expecting it. When I went through a cave/ swim through and suddenly found myself staring at the abyss I actually got a little case of vertigo. It's a long swim out there. If I remember right there are two buoys. The drop off is past the 2nd one. Or maybe there was only one buoy and just pretty far out there.

There are alot of great dives on the Brac, the walls on the north side are deep but good with Nitrox, I've dove there throughout the last 18 years off and on and have seen some tremendous changes.

Just got back from the Brac last night; weather was generally good and the water temperature was a "too hot for this time of year 84F". I got in three new divesites that I've not been to before (one right under the Bluff, plus two on the East & NE end of Little Cayman), as well as was able to start to play around with a second UW camera while still carrying my Nikonos. From the new camera while at "Lobster Pot" this past week:

Regarding Public Beach on Cayman Brac, the only 'problem' with the site is that its on the South Side, which is frequently to windward and thus can make entry/exit a real challenge, particularly to clear the very shallow reef not far from shore. The general recommendation is to go at high tide on a day that's calm on the South side.

It is a great site, though, and it is as reported, a long swim from shore to the dropoff (there are two moorings, although both might not be in place right now). The last time I dived there, the 'crinkle bottle' trick was able to pull in a nice reef shark out amongst the sand patches between the high-relief coral bommies and the inside-out wall.
