I did. I wonder if it has anything to do with all the bullsharks that were recently killed over in the Playa del Carmen area? Also there was a picture on the front page of a recent newspaper here with a fisherman and dead sharks. Although I think the story was about how there haven't been any shark attacks in Cozumel, unlike the recent attack on the mainland.

Ben is not much for sensationalism or inaccurate stories so I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

...yeah, it does sound a bit cryptic....the doomsday scenario is the Asian shark finning industry is rearing it's ugly head here, first spread scary shark attack propaganda, making it politically-correct to have open season on sharks, then under the guise of public safety exterminate sharks to feed the bottomless appetite of the Asian shark finning mafia!

nah, don't worry 'bout it Don...at least Mexico is keeping us 'dangerous' scuba divers away from their whalesharks, which is obviously the real threat to the shark population.
