Hey guys....

I have been looking for an Adapter or converter for that matter to modify my Gemini valve body to accept a Schrader fitting so I can use my LP hose to inflate my SMB or work a tire inflater in a pinch???

For the life of me, I can not find anything that will work... The basic NPT fitting for air tools will not work, wish they did cause I would just exchange the fittings on my Tire inflator and SMB...

Any suggestions or someone that owns the Gemini had the same problem and found a work around...?

Thanks for the help, lee

I have a Gemini myself, although I've never thought of a need to do what you suggest.
Never have a need to inflate tires, although it may become possible later.
And filling an smb, I would just go with an open bottom or orally inflate from the nozzle.
I do plan on switching out my Gemini, don't like how it drags below me or how it gives a lot of tension during air shares.

Anywhozles here's my solution for you:
Trident Adapter For Air II Hose To Standard Inflator AA09 with reviews at scuba.com
It's not a body adapter though

You could find something like this, not sure if this works for a gemini, never actually tried it.
What you could do is stow this in a pocket and use it when you need it.

I don't think they make a body adapter because the HP hose for Air 2's needs to be a larger diameter.
I think, I'll have to compare when I get back after the holiday.

g1138... If you travel to remote areas, you may find it quite nice to be able to put enough air in a flat or low tire to save your bacon at some point... I know it came in very handy for me when I was in Bonaire...

I also have an 8' SMB that uses a bit of air volume that has the same valve which I would like to blast to the top if necessary...

This Trident adapter you pointed out just may work for the tire inflater as it locks on, my SMB does not lock... so, it might or I just may keep my dry suite hose on and just keep it strapped down until needed...

Thanks, lee

Good luck with your equipment set up. =]

Ever changed out a low pressure hose cause it was getting soft or minor surface cracks?
I have several I didn't throw away, just in case I needed a spare. I just cut the end off and hose clamped an inflator adapter to the end. The adaptor can be found at flea markets for around a $1.00. Just remove an unused port plug from your reg and screw in the hose. I actually just have a crappy old first stage I keep one on all the time, and keep it in the truck for airing up tires.
