I am looking for a dive computer. My husband & son both have the Oceanic Pro Plus 2. We are thinking it might be a good idea to have a different brand as we normally dive together.

I have done some research and am thinking of the Sherwood CG7125 2008 Wisdom 2 Dive Computer with Compass and Quick Disconnect. I found a really good price.

I have seen some feedback that the software is not intuitive. Wondering if anyone has any personal experience.

I own that model and I like it. I find it easy to use and I love the large display for low vis diving. I also purchased a Sherwood Insight wrist-mount as a backup.

You will invariably come up against the console vs. wrist mounted computer argument. Most people seem to prefer wrist mounted computers. The advantage of the console is that it often lets you save a few hundred $ by not buying an SPG.

Thanks. I think I am going to buy it.

I like my Wisdom 2.

I don't understand the part about the software not intuitive. What software are we talking about? The thing has two buttons and one of the buttons is to activate the light. It doesn't get any easier than that. Programming the alarms and settings are also easy.

Big displays make things so easy to read at a glance.
