Looking for a bit of help choosing between the two of these dive computers. It will be my first dive computer choice. Up to this point I've done everything manually with a standard wristwatch but was highly encouraged to get a dive computer by my instructor and I highly value her advice to get one.

any advice or input between the two would be greatly appreciated.

I have an aladin 2g and am happy with it. It is a very good nitrox computer, and gives you a two gas option and a moderate conservative algorithm. Get the deep sea supply bungee mount for it if you buy that one.

I can't speak for the Aladin 2 G but I currently use the Sherwood Amphos w/Air and it's good. Hasn't let me down . A little big to wear around as a watch but numerals are big enough for my diminishing eyesight. Easy to use.
