Of the four lobsters I got at Pebble on saturday, two had recently molted, and two were rock hard and barely legal.... due to molt any time. I'd guess that over the next several weeks well be seeing a lot of smaller lobsters grow to legal size all of a sudden.

We got a couple of water-filled shedders at the same location, too. 'Tis the season, I guess. What happened to Loblolly?

The one legal I got Sat night in RI was soft as a sponge.....I wound up releasing...

Low tide... we didn't figure underwater rock climbing would be much fun, so backtracked to Pebble. We got 8 keepers in two dives, and split them 50/50, so it was still pretty productive.

yea, the other 50% went to me. We had 2 fantastic dives and there were plenty hiding in rocks that we could not convince to come out

We did pretty good, too. Caught a bunch of just unders, though, and tossed them back for another day(hopefully). I was surprised we didn't see any lobzilla. Last year at Pebble I saw two of the biggest lobsters I've ever seen diving, this time zero.
