I'm in a dilemma: should I buy the Mares Sirius for €500 or the Shearwater Teric for €1,100? I want something with longevity, but I’ve found that the Mares Sirius has a higher chance of failure.

Do you need Trimix? If not, then the Shearwater Tern Tx is a similar form factor but much cheaper. Read any similar thread, and you'll see overwhelming accolades for Shearwater's support. I tried to get a Mares wing replaced under warranty once... crickets.

Teric or Tern Tx (or Peregrine Tx) would be my vote, depending on Trimix and watch form desires.

The Tern TX costs €900, so it’s only €200 cheaper. I’m just curious—do you think the Teric is worth €600 more, or should I stick with the Mares Sirius at €500? I don’t plan on using trimix, just nitrox and twin 10L tanks for the next two years.

Diving doubles under 30m? I kinda think you'll want Trimix at some point to go deeper. There's many a thread about 40m or even 50m without Trimix, but there are definitely drawbacks. Whether they're worth the cost savings is a personal call. My vote would be Trimix (and therefore the Teric).
