Scuba Diver Dies At Shaw's Cove, Laguna Beach
LAGUNA BEACH, CA —Lifeguards headed to Shaw's Cove Thursday morning for a diver emergency to find a woman in medical distress, authorities say.

A woman, preparing to go diving at Shaw's Cove, was "knee-deep in the water when she experienced an unknown medical issue," Capt. Kai Bond of Laguna Beach Marine Safety told Patch.

She was pulled from the water to the sand before medics arrived, according to Bond.

Laguna Beach paramedics and lifeguards arrived shortly before 8 a.m. and conducted CPR. An ambulance took her to Mission Hospital Laguna Beach, where she was pronounced dead, according to Bond.

Her age and city of residence were not disclosed as of publication.
