No. A link to the story was posted elsewhere on SB. There is a picture clearly showing the diver encased in a vulcanized suit with a light helmet.

I saw it also. Looked like a Viking HD with a KM Superlight. Additionally, I posted info. about India's Untouchables doing the same job without equipment, or safety apparatus. They go into the sewers and clean them out often without even a pair of latex gloves. Naturally, a lot of them get sick or die.
