The old Salvo regulators were just rebranded versions of a number of regulators still being sold today. Can anyone recommend someone who would be able to get the appropriate parts and service Salvo regs, or does anyone know how I can get those parts to do it myself? (I am talking about the Salvo SR3, which I believe is essentially a Dive Rite Hurricane.)

www.DiveSeekers.com is a DiveRite dealer. If DiveRite service kits can be sold to end users (I have no idea +/-) they can get 'em for you. Give Wayne or Jason a call directly.

I thought I would give an update as a service to anyone else in my situation.

I sent my regulator to a Dive Rite service center which assured me it services all regulators. It discovered that, despite what I had been told by former Salvo personnel, there were no comparable Dive Rite kits. They did a search and found nothing.

They contacted Corey Mearns of Light Monkey, formerly of Salvo, and he said the regulator was actually made of a couple of different kits. One suggestion was to go to Halcyon, whose legal actions put Salvo out of business and gave them much of their inventory. Halcyon, however, does not have any parts for old Salvo regulators.

So, there does not appear to be an option for me unless I just take it apart, clean things up, etc.

You might try contacting Joel at TDL (http://www.techdivinglimited.com/) and see if they can help. I understand they are now selling a rebranded regulator so you might get real lucky. There are just not many regulators that require unique service parts so somebody else surely has what you need.

When Salvo was going OOB I bought a kit that they assured me would work in my SR1. Not so much. I have an HP seat for the SR3 you want it.

It looks like for the SR1 the EDGE Epic kit should work, I have one on order, I'll post when I get it and verify that it will work for that reg. Contacting TDL is a good idea, the SR3 should be the same as the Storm - TDL-Storm First Stage : Tech Diving Limited, a subsidiary of Scuba Training and Technology Inc.

I will follow this thread as one of my friends has the Salvo regs. Please keep us updated if you find a source for parts or someone to service them.

Which reg? 1, 2 or 3?
I believe they are the SRX/SR3 version. The higher end version either way with the adjustable second stage and he has two of them, with a single first stage for single tank diving.
