But but.... by the time you buy the right tools and parts, you've already spent what you would spend for your LDS to do it once... and then... oh.... wait.... :eyebrow:

IP gauge...£20. Spanner £4, parts kit £25.

LDS price to service... £70

and thats once :)

why in the world would you want 'cheap" when it comes to the most inportant piece of gear that you own? i'm a firm believer in the old saying "that you get what you pay for". is it worth having you i.p. creep up on you until you have an unstopable freeflow on you 1st stage or your auto inflator on your bc and now you are on an elevator ride to the surface..... CHEAP i'm sorry to be so blunt but cheap isn't in my vocabulary when it come to my dive gear or getting it serviced..... think about it! ken

Don't be a cheapskate and spend a few bucks. Do you have them only fill a tank half way so you can get a discount?

I've Tryed ;)

last city I lived in the closest LSD had a couple of guys that coudn't change a tire on their car ( I know I watched them try ), couldn't put film in a camera, basicly if it was a machanical device they were helpless - they Could rebuild regs - according to the manufacterer at least.
