I find this entertaining.... I see a lot of people complaining about the issues with servicing their own gear... being an automotive mechanic major, I see all sorts of people fixing their own vehicles without ASE certifications.
 
So why would a requirement be a tec certification?

Hog's hurdle is any tec certification (but that is only for their class). Get a Nitrox card, you're good.

You have to put the bar somewhere, if this bothers you, go to diverightinscuba.com and order the kits and do it yourself
