Question Servicing a 90deg Swivel Elbow Connector?

PS: Whats your opinion on lubing the standard visible 010 Oring - will it contaminate the breathing gas?

I always lube that o-ring. There are some regulator barrels where the hose connection shaft just won't slide in easily into without shearing, without a little lube. But as always in scuba, "lube" just means barely shiny.
Lubrication is just to ease placement, that's all. It doesn't stick around for the whole service interval. The o-ring does just fine by itself.
There are perhaps only a couple of orings where you add a reservoir of lubricant: some diaphragm balance chamber designs, and maybe in between the two piston head orings in the Mk25 design.

A mistake I did earlier is not performing a proper inspection of the thing under consideration the way a technician should - under bright focused headlamp lighting aimed right into it and with a keen eye using a magnifying lens, and sure enough there is a larger Oring at the base of the socket (the rotating barrel at 90deg). None of the standard brass picks used for regulator servicing are thin enough to reach into the tiny gap between the central spigot (That's the word for it!) and the rotating barrel, and finally I found that the hook shaped brass pick from the swiss-army style allen-key save-a-dive tool could possibly reach into the narrow gap and scratch and poke it. However since I am unsure if I will find a new replacement Oring of the right size I let it be for now… Inserting a new Oring and positioning it snugly in a 360 circle without access to a thin enough brass tool looks difficult too.

I am sure I have an Oring leftover from the Apeks XTX50 service kit or a Scubapro one that should be the right size, but I want a precise Apeks part no to cross-check before I do it. Could it be a 013 with 9/16 o.d?

For now, I removed and checked the 010 Oring on the spigot and it looked to be in perfectly good condition hence I simply lubed it lightly and replaced it. Seems to be 90shore considering its tautness. No discernible improvement on-land however.
