Don,

It will be a hit or miss thing for the 17th. Unfortunately (for diving the Triangle Wrecks), I am going to Florida on the 23rd, returning the 26th. Fortunately, I intend to get at least one dive in while I am there.

We need to keep in touch as the week progresses to make sure we either will or will not try the dive.

Don,

Are you planning on camping overnight on Friday or driving over Saturday morning?

If I do go to Rawlings, Friday is out since I do not escape work until 6 pm.

I am leaning toward driving up on Saturday morning and possibly staying over until Sunday.

Thursday evening seems like a good time to make the decision.

Don,

I agree. Thursday morning would be a good time to make the final decision. However, I suspect that the vis will be really bad off Kill Devil Hills on Saturday.

We welcome plan B participants with open arms ;)

Thanks. I have not dived Lake Rawilings yet. It actually may be the best place to check out my gear.

From a local perspective, I'd be pretty sure the conditions off KDH will not be cleared up by Saturday. Even if it suddenly calms down, there will be so much partiulate stirred up, there won't be squat for viz. Wish I could participate in Plan B with ya though!

Based on the current track, I see no way the Triangle wrecks would be possible on Saturday. Just the wave action up to now is too much.

Rawlings on the 17th it is for me. I am going to look over the logistics and see if there is any way I can get there at a reasonable time on Friday.

I will be bringing a couple of AL80s. The steel tanks were too heavy last time.

If there is anything you want to fiddle with, this is your golden chance. I have an Aquashot camera I have never taken underwater. I am going to be too busy to get the scooter up and running for this trip, so I will probably bring some other toys.
