Is having a separate "tech" section on the board a good idea?

I think you were being tongue in cheek, but thought I'd respond anyway!

Yes I was being "tongue in cheek" though I have seen techies blast newbies on many different sites. I wouldn't think that would happen here as most of the regulars are pretty good people.

It’s a GREAT idea.

.

Great idea! Says the recreational industry, and proceeds to pervert the idea into the HUB (my favorite whipping boy for how to do something completely wrong). Guess the industry isn’t interested in the concept of “reducing failure points” and “simplicity” yet.

Roakey........what problems do you find with the HUB system ?? They look interesting to me (couldn't afford one ). Do you think they configuration is wrong or ........??????

Thanks

than Wreck or other post having there own? I do think there should be more talk about what diving is being done along with who's stuff is the best. Just MY 2cents

Hello,

Naturaly it's a bad idea. Reasoning is somewhat simple. Name ONE 'tech diver' list that's friendly, honest, open, non-hostile, non-bashing, non-bs and non-DIR.

Facts states it can't be done.

Quest.

Okay, remove the non-hostile, non-bashing part!!

I must have missed this post!

Ignoring the introduction of many, many failure points, hard to rinse, hard to inspect & maintain, complex, not upgradeable, the octo is hidden away which discourages testing and its awfully expensive, it's perfect.
