My son just bought a Mares Isotherm Semi-dry suit. He got a great deal on it. So good that I came close to buying one myself.
Last spring we dived in Lake Erie (52f) he had a Rental Isotherm, it had torn seals and leaked. He was so warm he figured a new one with good seals would be great for him. He is very happy with his Semi-dry. and is bugging me to get a coldwater suit soon.

Ok ok Im sold!

Now somone just has to find me one for the best price available! Hehehe... Did the sizing according to the mares sizing charct on the "Ice Diver" isotherm for sale on leasure pro.com (which looks exactlylike the "mellenium" Isotherm) Im a Medium. So, who got a place that I can buy one cheap?

Also, the Mares corporate website only lists the Isotherm T man. Wy dont they list their own products "Ice Diver" and "Millenium"?

Can't wait to join the winter dive crowd.

Winter bluesly,

I've got a Mares Isotherm Semi-dry suit that I have been diving all winter it has been great.
I am not wet when I get out just damp....I bought it from lesiure pro for about 350.. this includes the hood..lds wants 550.00

Ive been in 45 degree water..and it never gets cold..my buddy was diving a 7mil and was cold...

see ya...happy diving.

I have the Bare Supra arctic with the hooded vest. Keeps me warm in the 40C water. The problem with semi-dry as others have said is when you get out of the water you are WET. Staying warm between dives can be a challenge (but a bucket of warm water poured down the back is an easy solution). I made some holes in the hood and coverd with a piece of neopreme with offset holes to let out trapped air. This made a huge difference. Would like a dry suit someday for the winter diving, but the Bare is good enough for most of the year in New England.

I've just looked at the Mares Isotherm T but ended up buying a Scubapro Scotia 6.5mm semi dry suit. The Scubapro has very good wrist, ankle and neck seals which have a form of double cuff to interlock with their semi dry boots, gloves and hood. The Mares seemed a well made suit but was too loose around the middle and the wrist seals were also too big. It would have been a full wet suit not a semi dry. This is also something noted in a review in Diver magazine which you can access through Divernet.
