I want to get a Sea Doo super V scooter. Since I currently fill my closet (dive locker) with a half dozen tanks, 3 wetsuits, 1 dry suit, 3 sets of fins, 1/2 dozen masks, 4 snorkels, redundant booties, 4 sets of gloves, 6 knifes, 2 sets of shears, 3 regulators, compasses, multiple slates, lift bags, safety sauges, numerous lights..................I think you get it, :D my wife says I have to make room in order to renew my dive locker at home.
I have to sell something to make room for the scooter.

This tank has the new hydro, tumbled and O2 cleaned a few months ago, making it the right one for sale. I was using it specifically for repetitive dive days to give me that extra safety margin while using air tables. It's a good tank and cost a lot with the special DIN valve assembly when new.

Hope this gives you the information you were looking for.

What brand is the tank or just some specs on it, Height mainly.

Looks like Asahi "spun steel" E12079 3500psi tank.... sold under other names such as Sherwood, Dolphin, etc..... made in Japan.

I'd check first to see, but I think the DOT exemption for them expired April 30th, 2006. But maybe I'm wrong and Asahi renewed their exemption on E12079 tanks. (I haven't kept up with them).

Here is the exemption, but the files seems to have been moved on DOT's website

EDIT: looks like the DOT renewed Asahi for these tanks until 2010. So you can still get the hydro'd. (I just remember that was a concern with these tanks a couple years ago).

Hey guys, I am the original owner.

The History:

I bought it at Home from Paul Wagenseller the GM in Phoenix Arizona. I have had it a little over 5 years of continuous use. 3 months ago hydroed, tumbled and o2 cleaned by John Lindsey at Scubaland Adventures, Inc. Home Austin Texas present.

It is 26 inches in height, I measured from the bottom of the rubber boot to the top of the neck of the tank.

Attached are two pictures and one had the hydro date stamped in it and GOOD until 2013.
