I have a pair of Genesis Response fins. I was wondering...what would happen if I took a razor/knife and split these fins down the center? It would only cost me about $50 to find out...but was wondering if anyone has tried such a thing?

Split fins are a lot more complicated than that. If you just split those fins down the center, you will have what the anti-split-fin gang seems to think real split fins are: broken blades. I dove with a guy once who tried it, used his table saw to split them. He seemed happy with them, but they did not work like real splits.

hey, you should try to split them in THREE pieces (two splits)

that way you'd be going where no man has gone before ... seeking out new knowledge,
that sort of thing

you could make a bundle if they swim nice

Rember when the first double blade razor came out and Saturday night live did a spoof about a triple blade? Now we have quad blades! Get ahead of the game and go for four blades!!!!

this is a blade-race

which we do not intend to lose

go for six blades, dude!

Or just make 5 or 6 cuts each and call them Shredded Fins.

we must develop the technology to create nano-blades ... 10,000,000 blades
per inch of fin, and counting

And motorize them!
