X1, I set what alarms I want and what I don't want. In terms of "warning vs limiting" the X1 can be set to warm but it won't limit you for example if I want to do a gas change to o2 at 30 feet, it would let me do it, but it would throw warnings.

I have no problem with warnings, just another tool available for use, my problem is with computers that throw on limits such as having to move up to 18 feet to switch to o2 then back down to 20 to decompress, which I see all to commonly.
 
I use the RGBM Technical tables and a Hydrospace Explorer computer. I don't have any alarms turned on, set up the computer with my plan from my slate and pay attention to the plan, and use the computer to back it up. The Explorer follows along with my hard copy of my plan real well.
