I will be on Singer Island in June with my sister and her kids. They were going to get certified before the trip, but they flaked out. I'm looking for a dive op that can do a resort course for the tree of them. We can travel a bit if the right dive op is North or South of Riviera Beach.

I thought about Ocean Promotion in Lauderdale by the Sea, but the number I have for them is not good any longer. Can anyone recomend a dive op to do a resort course and let me tag along?

Oops. I should have mentioned that Jupiter is the one place I have ruled out. I want easy diving for absolute beginers. Jupiter is too deep and the current is too swift.

Go with Sandy's Sunday in Rivera Beach. Sandy is a great instructor and works with kid's groups, including Scouts, all the time. The diving in West Palm Beach has many great sites that are not as deep as Jupiter, and the current is sometimes lighter.

Do what you feel comfortable; but anyplace up that way is very likely to have current, and deeper sites - plus, on a resort course, they are not going to do typical Palm Beach (or Broward) diving.

I know its far, but you are looking at the Keys for what you are seeking or you would be better doing the Blue Herron Bridge (max depth of 18 feet; no currents) on an "intro" or "resort" type course.

I don't see any operator taking out brand new not even divers on the reefs off Palm Beach -

Pura Vida is right on Singer Island. I have used them several times before and been extremely pleased. They took great care of my 11 year old son on his first ocean dives. You won't be disappointed with them. Have fun!
