On a somewhat related note, isn't 10 posts per page a little low? How about 15 or 25 posts per page? It seems like everything is on page four or five unecessarily.

You can set that yourself in "Edit Options". Mine is set to 40 posts per page. You can choose from 5, 10, 20, 30, or 40.
