I've stayed at the condos next to Secrets a couple times and I only use their pier once on the first day when I'm carrying a ton of gear. After day 1 I always just walk the opposite way down the beach from the pier, up to the nearby beach club. My dive op picks me up right on the beach and it's a nice walk anyway. There's also a pier at the beach club you can use for free (at least last time I was there) if you want to walk a little further down the beach.
