One thing I haven't seen mentioned is HOW one walks. Not that what I personally have witnessed is statistically significant :) but I have seen a lot more people fall from wearing fins and trying to walk in a FORWARD motion, than from shuffling backward. In fact I can't say I have ever seen anyone take a tumble when shuffling backward but the same is not true of those who try to walk like normal with "feet" that are suddenly much longer and wider than they were moments ago.

I agree, no-one seems to teach (or perhaps it is another piece of information or skill that needs to be paid for) the correct techniques for moving around whilst wearing fins any more.

This is particularly important when your diving graduates from simple, single cylinder dives to those using stages etc. It is simply impractical and dangerous to attempt to stand on one leg to put fins on when laden down with multiple cylinders. That means fins are donned whilst sitting and then you shuffle to the gate.

Qasar,
After the first generation of the Seawing Nova's, we made some design changes on the bottom of the fin to assist in anti-slip which seems to be going well however; as mentioned walking in fins on a rocking boat predisposes you to a potential danger. Hope you like the fins power !
