Have to say I had no defog at the weekend so resorted to spit and rinse which worked pretty well (no fogging on my longest dive of 44 minutes).

I love it the OP asked a question gets 10 responses and 9 of them answer a different question?:dontknow:

I perceived it as nine people telling OP not to bother making the purchase being considered.

Hi NorCalDM,

I hear ya! And that includes my post. However, (you knew there was a "but" coming) most of the bromides mentioned above work well. I have used quite a few different de-foggers. Toothpaste even works well and makes your mask smell minty fresh.

Chilly in Canada has a good point. I would not waste my money when I have a suitcase full of potential defoggers. Including a sinus full of snot.

Markmud, I don't use snot in my mask if I can possibly help it. Now spit, on the other hand, works perfectly.

Now wouldn't that make things incredibly efficient? And to make it even better, why don't we limit the allowed answers to yes or no? Original question was 'Anybody use this?' - closed-ended question./sarcasm

I have visions of a green mass sliding down the inside of my mask as I descend - ewwww:yuck:

Dish soap straight up. I've lost count on the # of people who I've told this to on boats. The defog bottles themselves are useful, just not the original contents.

You recommend that people use dish soap? Like Sunlight or Ajax? Always thought that any residue may sting your eyes. Am I wrong?
