I'm a Fish!
After a few recent chats with people I am wondering if people know about the laws in regard to searching for ship wrecks or anything else under water. Useing sidescan and mag equipment ect.(fish finders...)

Does everyone know that there is a process that requires permits to do such work?

I have heard of "trips" for searching. "Going to mow the lawn" or "trim the grass"

Do people know that doing such a thing can cost you over $1000000 (One Million dallars) in fines!! In Canada that is.

These permits have no or little cost! and require only some simple paper work.

I just hope this helps someone out there avoid a very bad day.

There are also fines for sinking boats with out a permit also. FYI
