Yoda,

I've seen the deep outdoor stuff. There nice and appear to be very rugged. I don't think the DIR people would go for them though. If I remember right they have a soft style harness/wing BC as well as a BP/Wing models. They have a strap acrossed the chest and two accrossed the waist. The air cells are bungied if memory serves me well and options for some heavy duty d-rings.(As in solid not as in how many) Check out the dive mags they seem to have alot of adds lately for them. There the ones with the guy doing a flip off the top deck of a boat with tank and all. The only stores I've seen with them are Mares/Dacore shops.

I am pretty new to diving my self and I am not too sure how long Deep Outdoors has been around. It is a pretty new compnay though. From what I gather they started with just a back plate and harness setup, then moved into luggage, and now they make a couple more traditional bc's. Their luggage is extremely nice, and the bp and wing I looked at seemed to be a very high quality piece, though I am sure somebody wil chime in about how it is over priced and that you can buy a similar equipment online and/or make it your self. However, I do beleive in supporting local business when ever I can.

if you are truly going to use the same equipment for tec and rec diving, you will regret it if you do not go with a bp and wing.
