Hi Everyone,

I am new to diving and in the process acquiring the necessary equipment. I have the opportunity to purchase a Seaquest Predator BCD (secondhand in excellent condition) for a relatively cheap price.

I would be interested in feedback on this BCD good and bad.

I realize it is an older model dating from the late 90's. But the reviews I have read have been very favourable.

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Welcome Damienc you may also want to try the forum on Equipment.....I'm not familiar with that BC but many here probably are.

Welcome to the board.

The biggest thing IMO is the fit and comfort of the BC. Seaquest does have some good BCs.

I'm a big dude, so like diveman, I go for fit and comfort. I've dove with a ScubaPro Knighthawk, and dug it alright. After more testing, I settled on the Zeagle Brigade, which is basically a Ranger with an Escape bladder. I couldn't be happier. Lots of D rings and storage, and the famous Zeagle ripcord to drop weights. Hope i never have to do that.

Good luck man.
